Each year for the past 3 years, I’ve invited folks at the end of the year to submit their 5 blog posts that they like the most – here’s last years when we had over 100 folks
This year we'll be making this a fundraiser (and awareness raiser) for New Orleans, specifically the Tipitina Foundation. 
The mission of the Tipitina’s Foundation is threefold:
• To provide New Orleans public schools with musical instruments
• To give music students and adult musicians a broader exposure to the music business through “musicianship” education
• To increase the profile and viability of New Orleans music as a cultural, educational and business economic resource, through the Tipitina’s music co-op offices
Here’s the idea, which we'll call GIVE 5NOW:
➢ People who blog are invited to contribute at least $5 to Tipitina’s PayPal account to submit what we would call My5 – the five posts on their own blog that they feel best represents 2006 in their life.
➢ People who read blogs are invited to contribute at least $5 to Tipitina’s PayPal account to submit what we would call Fav5 – the five posts on other blogs that they consider their favorites.
People could conceivably end up paying $5 for their own My5 and $5 for a Fav5. We would post these entrees here, for folks to look thru & discover.
